Terry
Meet Terry
Terry Cordaro is the founder and lead guide of DC Baltimore Tours. She specializes in helping travelers understand not only what they are seeing, but why it matters.
Terry personally selected each DCBT guide. She came to know each guide’s approach, areas of expertise, and dedication to thoughtful interpretation. She believes that each guide’s personality and individual style are part of what makes DCBT distinctive.
Born in Dallas, Texas, and raised in Northern Virginia, Terry studied Tourism Management at Clemson University, where she met lifelong friend and “Webmaestro” Victor Boudolf, who later helped create the DCBT website. At Clemson she also met the late, wonderful Aaron Martin, with whom she shared a special bond for more than 30 years. Aaron’s curiosity, intelligence, and wide-ranging interests continue to influence the spirit of DCBT.
Terry later studied geology and European heritage in England and Scotland. She has also studied the metamorphic geology of the Baltimore region and the ways the region’s complex bedrock has shaped its landscape, infrastructure, and economic and industrial history.
Terry began guiding at the Washington National Cathedral in 1996 and remains a certified guide there. She is a member of the Guild of Professional Tour Guides of Washington, D.C., and DC Baltimore Tours is a proud member of Visit Baltimore.
Her tours draw on a lifelong interest in travel, history, geology, architecture, art, and culture, with particular attention to the connections between people and place throughout Washington, Baltimore, Gettysburg, and the Mid-Atlantic.

Andrea
Andrea is a licensed DC tour guide and tour creator who loves to showcase Washington DC with walks and stories in neighborhoods that make this city so vibrant, and introduce visitors and curious locals alike to the wonderful places beyond the National Mall. She is a long-time Washingtonian who has worked in nearly all aspects of the tourism and meetings industries. She is the author of the bestselling guidebook “111 Places in Washington That You Must Not Miss” and co-author of “22 Walks in Washington That You Must Not Miss.”
She approaches exploring with an eye for an unusual story of places and people and seeks out lesser known history and culture wherever she goes.
Whether you wish to partake of a neighborhood or National Mall walking tour in Washington, DC, or have her create a custom tour for you in the city or around the Mid-Atlantic US, she will introduce you to the charms of the city and the region, through the eyes of a curious explorer.

His guiding career began with hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tours with Big Bus and DC Trails before expanding into private and public tours with USA Guided Tours. With a passion for history, storytelling, and local culture, Dion specializes in bringing Washington’s landmarks, monuments, and historic neighborhoods to life. Evan
Evan O’Neal is a tour guide based in the Washington, DC area. Born and raised in Arlington, Evan has been a tour guide for over 4 years after getting his start in the industry as a professional driver back in 2016. With a passion for history, music, and story-telling, DC is the perfect place for Evan to work his magic and spread his knowledge. Aside from the National Mall, you can find him at the US Capitol, Arlington National Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, Georgetown, or any of the museums downtown. Felix
Born a fifth-generation Californian and a descendant of Mayflower settlers, Magna Carta sureties, and families whose roots extend deep into early American history, Felix Etienne-Edouard Pfeifle developed an early appreciation for history, architecture, and the cultural landscapes that shape our lives. During a visit to Washington, D.C., in the week of the 2020 election, he rekindled his fascination with the nation’s capital and soon decided to make it his home.
Before becoming a professional guide, Felix spent more than twenty years in architectural design and civic arts engagement in Southern California. In 2022, he turned his professional focus toward interpreting the architecture, historic interiors, decorative arts, gardens, and cultural life of Washington, D.C., and the Mid-Atlantic.
Felix earned a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, cum laude, from the University of California, Berkeley. He was subsequently awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to Vienna, Austria, where he studied the aesthetics of the Habsburg Empire before earning a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. His education in the humanities, architecture, and design informs an interpretive style that is both scholarly and engaging while remaining deeply attentive to the experience of place. He has also taught urban planning and architectural history at The New School in New York City. Felix leads tours in German in addition to English.
Felix believes that great places are meant to be read as well as admired. Every building, room, garden, and collection tells a story about the people - and the civilization - that created it. His tours invite guests to discover how architecture, interiors, landscapes, decorative arts, and collections communicate ideas about beauty, ceremony, hospitality, power, identity, and social life. Rather than simply describing what visitors see, he encourages them to ask why a room was arranged in a particular way, why a building was designed as it was, or what a garden was intended to express. Through this approach, guests learn not simply to visit remarkable places, but to read them as living expressions of the people, values, and cultures that created them.
Whether exploring a Gilded Age mansion, a diplomatic residence, a museum, or a historic neighborhood, Felix encourages guests to ask not simply, “What am I seeing?” but, “What is this place trying to communicate?”
Josh
Josh is the proud leader of our Dog Tours, where Tito helps ensure that every experience stays on the right track. He also leads daytime memorial and city tours throughout Washington and serves as one of our guides for the Baseball & Breweries tour.
Josh enjoys introducing guests to Washington through the eyes of both its people and its four-legged residents, combining history, storytelling, and a genuine love of dogs to create memorable experiences.
Justin
As a native Marylander who grew up near Washington, D.C., and who has called Baltimore home since 2005, Justin truly considers both cities his hometowns. He enjoys exploring Baltimore by bicycle, cheering on the Orioles at Camden Yards, kayaking on the Chesapeake Bay, skiing in the winter, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Justin began his guiding career in 2007 leading tours at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, where he discovered how much he enjoyed sharing stories with visitors and bringing history to life. Since then, he has had the privilege of working with guests from all 50 states and many countries, creating memorable experiences for families, couples, school groups, and travelers from around the world.
For Justin, the greatest reward is knowing that guests leave with wonderful memories and a deeper appreciation for the places they’ve explored together. Every tour is an opportunity to create an experience that is informative, engaging, and enjoyable.
Baltimore is a city unlike any other on the East Coast. Founded as a thriving harbor in the eighteenth century, it has grown into a vibrant city rich in history, architecture, culture, and outstanding local cuisine. Each neighborhood has its own distinct personality, earning Baltimore the affectionate nickname “Smalltimore.”
Whether tourists are exploring with Justin the birthplace of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” tracing the story of America’s first commercial railroad, strolling through historic neighborhoods, discovering remarkable architecture, or enjoying Maryland’s famous seafood, Baltimore offers something for every visitor.
Justin especially enjoys introducing guests to both Baltimore’s iconic landmarks and the hidden corners that many visitors never discover. His goal is simple: by the end of the day, he hopes you’ll understand why so many are proud to call Baltimore home.
Lori
Lori is a Northern Virginia native with degrees in education from George Mason University and James Madison University. After a distinguished career teaching in Arlington Public Schools, she transitioned into guiding, bringing her deep knowledge of history and natural ability as an educator to a wider audience.
She completed the rigorous training program offered by the Guide Service of Washington and has led hundreds of tours for guests of all ages. Lori is a member of the Guild of Tour Guides of Washington and a certified guide at Washington National Cathedral.
Lori brings a calm, thoughtful presence to her work, combining clarity, warmth, and a strong sense of place. Her tours are both engaging and well-paced, shaped by years of experience working with diverse groups.
When she’s not guiding, Lori enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, reading, gardening, and spending time in the woods with her two beloved dogs—who would no doubt approve of our dog-friendly tours.
A dedicated sports fan, Lori supports Washington, DC teams—especially the Commanders—and remains closely connected to her alma mater, James Madison University, where she attends football games whenever she can.
Favorite Places
Lori finds the interiors of the Library of Congress and Washington National Cathedral to be especially beautiful, and she enjoys sharing these spaces with guests. She also appreciates the grandeur of the U.S. Capitol and the quiet charm of the Bartholdi Fountain, particularly when the gardens are in bloom.
Arlington National Cemetery is a place she finds deeply meaningful, reflecting so much of the American story. She also values time at Mount Vernon, where each visit offers insight into George Washington’s life and enduring connection to his home.
Hi, my name is Susan! I’ve led tours throughout the Washington, D.C. metro region: the national mall area, Alexandria and Georgetown neighborhoods, George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate and nearby towns and lesser known sites for over a decade. I still get excited about discovering hidden corners and finding new stories to share. I believe history can be interesting—just like people and places.
I help people enjoy the places they visit through new eyes. My goal is to bring history, stories, culture, discovery, and community to life while encouraging curiosity and interaction. Whether you love a deep dive into history or casual sightseeing, from the windows of a bus or car, or on a walk or stroll, I enjoy helping you discover what makes a place special. My passion for guiding began during a life-changing, multi-country tour through Europe. Connecting with new friends from around the world, I knew I wanted to become a tour director and guide one day. That dream became reality when I began guiding on weekends while managing a corporate marketing career and teaching university courses after hours.
Since then, I’ve guided groups of all sizes and backgrounds, including families, students, international visitors, association groups, seniors, faith-based, military groups, corporate groups, travelers with disabilities, and even ghosties—people interested in ghosts—whether for a few hours or multiple days in a row.
Originally from Buffalo, New York (please, spare me the snow jokes!), I’m an avid traveler who has visited 48 states, explored 25 countries, and lived in every U.S. time zone. I have happily called the Washington, D.C. area home since 2000.
My passion for guiding is fueled by lifelong learning. I hold graduate and undergraduate degrees along with professional certificates and have studied subjects ranging from art and history to international relations, marketing, biology, coaching, psychology, leadership, and sustainability.
I am a licensed Washington, D.C. Tour Guide and an active member of professional tour guide associations in Washington, Philadelphia, and internationally.
